

Cashew Nut is a kidney shaped which grows on cashew apple. Cashew nuts have a sweet flavor. It contains high fats. The trees are just 10- 12 meter tall and irregularly shaped trunk. The leaves are spirally arranged 4 - 22 cm long and 2 to 15 cm broad, with a smooth margin. Cashew trees flourish in extreme heat in the tropics. The trunk is gnarled and tortuous, giving the tree an unkempt appearance.
Cashew nut tree is best grown in proper drained sandy or sandy loam soils.
